How soccer helps children and youths

Many NGO's working in poor countries and critical neighborhoods use soccer as a way to bring kids together and give them the opportunity to play in a structured and friendly environment. They invite kids to after school programs where they improve education, raise health awareness and build life-skills. Sport is known to be a powerful tool to teach kids important messages in a different way to regular school education.

Soccer and football can serve as a medium to improve the life conditions of children and adolescents in poverty stricken regions with the aid of sports. After school activities and weekend programs help keep the teenage groups occupied and useful thus minimizing teenage excesses in critical areas.
